Williams, homeless man, wanted as tone of voice of Cleveland Cavs

For those who have a career during the recession, don’t take it for granted. Things could have gone like they did for Ted Williams, a homeless OH man. Williams has been through a lot, and seems like that his perseverance might have paid off. According to The Sporting News, Williams has gone from homeless beggar to viral video star to sports announcer overnight. He’ll now move up from begging for money to applying for personal loans; that is some jump.

Previously homeless, Williams is the tone of voice of the Cavs now

Ted Williams – the displaced man, not Boston Red Sox Hall of Recognition outfielder Ted "The Splendid Splinter" Williams – states he considers each day precious. Williams young life was very progressive. Then, he had drug and alcohol problems to battle. This eventually led to the loss of his home and years of transient living. Ted Williams sold better than most with the "God-given" voice that he has.

However, a reporter from the Columbus Dispatch newspaper taken place to stumble across Williams one day, and the wheels set in motion. Impressed by Ted Williams’ voice, the reporter called him over. He ended up doing an interview with her that was posted on YouTube and became very popular. About 5 million viewers saw Ted Williams' radio tone of voice within 24 hours.

YouTube the spot to get fame

Ted Williams was displaced one day, however thanks to a single Columbus Dispatch reporter and the power of YouTube, he has been offered a full-time job and a place to live. After noticing the extraordinary video of Ted Williams, displaced Ohioan, a representative of the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA basketball team and Quicken Loans named Tracy (no last name given), was intrigued. Tracy placed a called to WNCI 97.9 radio, where she offered Ted Williams a full-time job and a home mortgage to work as the public address announcer at Quicken Loans Arena, the home of the Cavaliers. The career offer was then confirmed by Darren Rovell from CNBC. He did this through Twitter.

All sorts of ‘Homeless DJ’ job offers

There were many career offers that came in during Ted William's appearance on WNCI. One of them was the Cleveland Cavaliers job. The deal with Tracy is something that Williams has yet to accept. It’s expected that he will though.
