I don’t know why people feel like they need to follow authority figures

In the Milgram experiment, they had people applying shock to people if they didn't read the paragraph correctly. They wanted to see how far people would push it.

Everyone would do exactly as the guy who was standing behind them with a lab coat on told them. They figured their authority figure told them that they weren't hurting the person and that if they were the authority would get the blame.

It's funny how blindly we follow authority sometimes. I think we should probably be a little more cautious.
