Some individuals need notice. It is all they care about. Occasionally, individuals do things that nobody cares about, like shaving their head. Appearing in reality shows on MTV is an example of how some individuals try to look sad. Then you will find the harmful attention getters. These individuals harmed themselves and other people during the process. Bethany Storro can be categorized. She harmed herself and others with it. The acid face assault tale she provided the media was a scam, and she forever disfigured herself.

Bethany Storro attacked

Some time ago, a story went out over the news wires of a young woman, one Bethany Storro of Vancouver, Wash., who had been attacked and disfigured. She had acid thrown on her face. It was a complete stranger that did it. Every person saw a young woman disfigured by acid and didn’t think of it being a scam. CNN reports that Bethany Storro was released from the hospital on September 5 after entering on August 30. She said she got acid thrown in her face after a young African-American woman asked her if she wanted anything to drink.

Acid attack just a story

It was the perfect story. It also was a cliché being used. The tale was a lie. It was false. Time reports that police started investigating things as she was getting close to being released. They decided things weren’t adding up. The Bethany Storro acid burns were in a pattern that better fit being carefully applied, instead of thrown. Sky News reports that sulfuric or hydrochloric acid was likely used for this. She admitted the whole thing was a hoax after numerous asked about the inconsistencies. She was just pulling off a stunt like the balloon boy or a meat dress.

Paying for it

Bethany Storro is going to need to live with scars for the rest of her life. Also, she submitted a false police report. This means she will likely get charges for that as well. She must also give back all the donations for her hospital bills, and pay the hospital back herself.
