Flippa - Good website marketplace or expensive storefront?

When it comes to selling domain names, Flippa has all of a sudden become a large title. Flippa, the marketplace, is now the place that FaceMash is being sold. Many domain buyers and sellers, though, are concerned that Flippa is simply too expensive to use.

Those who want FaceMash can check on Flippa

Domains are sold at Flippa. Lucky for Flippa, a large listing had been posted. Zuckerberg created the first version of Facebook at FaceMash.com. This is now for sale though. Though the website is currently owned by a creating social network, it is available for purchase. There are three days left on the sale although the price is at $30,000 for now. Sony Pictures is the current owner of a comparable address, FaceMash.net, which is featured in the film “The Social Network.”

Flippa and also the business of web-domain

Flippa is just one of numerous marketplaces used to purchase and sell domains. Flippa was started in 2009 by the web development blog Sitepoint. Between beginning up and August 2010, over $40 million in web domains had been sold by the marketplace. Almost always there is something available to be bought at Flippa. About 1,000 choices at any time are available. About $2,000 is needed to buy one of these domains. A no fax loans wouldn’t be useful for that.

Sales that Flippa makes

A popular spot to go to sell web domains is Flippa. There are some troubles associated though. Only about 54 percent of the domains available on Flippa usually sell. Flippa charges relatively high prices for its services. The listing fee for a domain is only $19, however there is a 5 percent “success fee” — 5 percent of the final revenue price. It will cost you $99 if you choose to waive the success fee. Everything from tweets to front-page listings to highlights and bolds cost extra. Flippa prices are too high. Even buyers know this. Is having the right domain really so essential, or is spending thousands of dollars for a site a wise company decision?
