There has been a shooting in the postal office in Henning, Tenn.. The post office shooting reportedly killed two employees, but information are still trickling in. The United States of America Postal service has not confirmed anything other than that there had been an event.

Around 9 a.m. on Monday morning, a post office shooting occurred. This is what WMCTV reports. The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department has reported that two employees were killed. Investigators to help with the investigation are being sent by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. No motive, weapon or suspect has been named yet. Investigators have said to view out for two men. They could be in a maroon Chevrolet Malibu.

There have not been any official statements released by the U.S. Postal Service except to confirm the Henning Post office did have an incident. There was one witness to the thing. This witness said that the shooting happened during a robbery. Witnesses are being interviewed by law enforcement officials. More reports may come in. When they do, officials can release more info.

The shooting is already being investigated by the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office and the TN Bureau of Investigation. The FBI did not let that be an excuse not to get in on the investigation. Because the post office shooting happened in a post office, which is a federal building, it could be considered a federal crime. Charging the individuals that did the crime is not the issue. There are several things they could possibly be charged with. Pre-meditated murder would be the first, among numerous others that could carry life sentences or worse.
