Customers waiting for Google’s Chrome OS to hit a notebook near them may have to wait until mid-2011 for the Cr-48 Chrome Laptop, writes Mashable. While this doesn’t necessarily help shoppers who are looking to bring home some new Google hardware this holiday season, it does provide Google fans with dream material. Once the Cr-48 surfaces for consumers, Microsoft and Apple can have to be ready.
At this time, there’s beta testing happening for the Cr-48 Chrome Laptop
An exclusive pilot program was launched by Google so the Cr-48 Chrome OS Notebook might be tested. There probably will not be very many individuals getting a Cr-48 notebook thinking about they each have to have one to test it, although Google announced that various individuals, businesses, schools, non-profits and developers in the U.S. could be testing it. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Participants will be expected to send regular, detailed feedback to Google as part of the program. Google warns within the official Cr-48 Chrome Laptop beta screening notice that the platform is Web-based and does not run "any legacy PC software," and that "the pilot program is not for the faint of heart," in that there may be severe bugs within the system.
Vital statistics for the Cr-48 Chrome Laptop

Those people continuously on the internet
The Cr-48 Chrome Notebook is apparently not designed to be a portable gaming rig, but that likely wasn’t Google’s target. As most people spend our computer time online with Web browsers, social media and various other cloud-based elements, a Chrome OS notebook might be just what most customers ordered and they would probably be willing to take out a payday loan to get it.
