Giants and Vikings match postponed after Metrodome roof failure

The Giants Vikings match suffered another setback after the ceiling of the Metrodome collapsed. Heavy snowfall accumulation put too much strain on the Teflon fabric dome, which ripped open over the field. The game will now be played at Ford Motors Field in Detroit, after it had already been postponed until Monday night. There will likely be a sizable installment loan obtained to correct this issue.

Hefty snow makes Metrodome roof cave in

The ceiling was ripped open at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome because of snow on it as Mother Nature obviously wants a new arena for the Minnesota Vikings. An inflatable Teflon fabric is what the roof of the Metrodome is made with. Air pressure supports it. A leak eventually occurred with snow piling up with all the snowstorms within the Midwest. ABC accounts that on 5 a.m. Sunday morning, snow dumped on the field like crazy, although the Metrodome ceiling did not collapse entirely. The game was already postponed until Monday, as hefty snow and winds closed the Twin Cities airport and kept the New York Giants from reaching Minnesota.

Game moved to Detroit

The Giants and Vikings game is being relocated to Ford Field in Detroit. Monday Night Football will not be seeing the match though, says ESPN. It could be on the National Football League Network for Direct Television subscribers only. When you have tickets to the match already, go ahead and make the trip to Ford Motors Field. It might be worth it considering preferred seating at the 50 yard line can be given to you. Free tickets to the game are being given out. If you purchased a ticket to the match, do not worry. You’ll be given a full refund too. This is the fourth time the Metrodome ceiling has collapsed like this. In 1981, 1982 and 1983 it collapsed as well.

Several questioning all about Favre

Besides being temporarily homeless, Vikings followers will even have to deal with the possible absence of Favre from the game. The 41-year-old QB injured his shoulder while playing the Buffalo Bills, and has been struggling with a sprained shoulder since. He may be feeling good enough to play. Either way, Tavaris Jackson will move than likely be the one to play against the Giants on the field.
